Car transport: leaving Mactan Airport, you go through Cebu City, take a road crossing southwards Cebu Island, then skirt for about an hour the east coast. Subsequently, crossing the island ridge, you reach and skirt the west coast for another hour, via Carcar, Alcantara and Barili. Finally you are in in Moalboal, where you leave the main road and take a secondary road towards Panagsama beach. After a few hundred metres of country road, the only unpaved distance of all journey, you finally pass through the Sampaguita Resort main gate.
The mentioned itinerary from Mactan
airport to the Resort is not that long, about 100 km, but is made in about three
hours at slow speed because you have to cross crowded villages full of colour,
where everything happen in open air, from walks to rice wiping, from transport
with rural carts to children play, from processions to fairs and country markets.
More than a transfer you should consider it an excursion in the island rural province, untouched by organized tourism, genuine and incontaminated. You will so have several chances for taking interesting photos or for movie-shooting.
